On Monday,  police were called by a building site project manager at Corsham House, Victoria Court, Wembley, HA9 to report what looked like an old bomb, about 18ins in length, had been unearthed.

Local police attended, cordoned off the area, identified the device as a bomb ( FirstWorld War Artillery Shell head ) with the detonator still attached and called in the Met’s specialist Explosive Ordnance Disposal team who removed it from the site. The cordon was lifted at approximately 10:30hrs.
