Mayo native Willie Coyle, who hails from the scenic Erris Peninsula, and has been a leading force in the Irish community in the UK, will feature on Irish TV’s Out and About UK programme this evening at 8:30pm.
Achill singer Paddy Joe was in London recently to launch his new single ‘A Tribute to Willie Coyle’, written about the Mayo man’s life in the UK and Irish TV was there to capture this poignant moment.
“Willie Coyle is a very well known member of the Irish community in London having spent his earlier days in Birmingham,” says Irish TV London presenter Ian McDonnell.
“He has helped a lot of Irish people in his time and this song is a fitting tribute to his life.”
The launch was held in Conway’s 3 in Burnt Oak, North West London, which is run by well-known entertainer Seamus Moore.
The episode will also be repeated on tomorrow at 10.30pm and Sunday November 30 at 11.30am.
