Dont Call Me Crazy: How we fell in love with outsider art
6.45pm, ICA
At a time when the works of artists such as James Castle are adored by the art press and exhibitions of outsider art attract 15,000 visitors in one month, the ICA asks: What is our fascination with outsider art?
James Brett, collector of outsider art and founder of the Museum Of Everything, will be in conversation with David MacLagan, an artist, art therapist and university lecturer whose book Outsider Art: From The Margins To The Marketplace was recently published by Reaktion. More speakers to be announced.
