Niall Horan took a memorable trip as he made his caddy debut at Augusta yesterday, slipping while carrying Rory McIlroy’s clubs as the World No. 1 looked on.
Horan’s slip was recorded live on television as he and his pal were set to be interviewed by presenter Kirsty Gallacher.
The Mullingar singer took to Twitter later on to poke fun at himself, blaming the ‘slippy’ pine cones.
The golf fanatic got the honourable gig after bumping into McIlroy in Australia last year.
He kept fans updated throughout the day tweeting:
“I’ve been lucky enough to do some pretty amazing things, but that’s gotta be up there huh? Loved it !”
“Also , can’t say I’ve ever been so nervous in my life than when Rory handed me that golf club, horrendous shot!”
“If your walking around augusta , don’t step on the pine leaves, slippy as hell Hahahaha! #redfaced !”
The sports fan has made the most of his fame since hitting global success with boyband One Direction, he previously managed to train with the tennis No. 1 Nova Djokovic, and again kept his Twitter account updated for his army of fans.
