WATCH: ‘Drunk’ passenger restrained on Ryanair flight

Ryanair passengers had to intervene and tackle a fellow customer after he stripped topless and threw punches to the back of the aircraft.

The flight was on its way from Dublin but was diverted to Denmark from its takeoff in Riga, Latvia, where the man was arrested.

The person filming on his mobile was told to stop by a member of cabin staff after the man had been restrained.

Peter Hallstrøm from East Jutland Police told the Daily Mail: “A plane was diverted because of a drunk person, so we had to arrest him.

“He was uneasy on board the aircraft, and the staff could not handle him.”

He said that although the man was ‘outspoken and provocative’ on the flight he was not violent towards anyone and did not resist arrest where he spent the night sobering up in a police cell. It is not known if he will face any charges.
