TO AVAIL OF THE VERY SPECIAL DISCOUNTED ROOM RATE FOR IRISH WORLD READERS, RESERVATIONS MUST BE MADE WITH THE NOVOTEL IN HAMMERSMITH BY OCTOBER 12.
The Irish World is celebrating 25 years of continuous publication and to mark it is reviving – for one night only – its hugely popular awards night to honour and acknowledge the contributions of individuals to their communities.
For several years the event was held at the Galtymore in Cricklewood but that venue – with its unique heritage for many Irish emigrants to the UK – closed in 2008.
Past recipients of the award have included Richard Harris, John Hume, Bertie Ahern, Mo Mowlam, Joe Dolan, Dara O Briain, Lorcan Cranitch, Stephen Fry and many others.
This year the event will be held at the Novotel in Hammersmith – which has its own Irish heritage – on Saturday October 20.
