Mouths watering for sweet and savoury Irish cookies

A bakery in Dublin has launched a new product, which is proving to be very popular amongst fans of ‘sweet and savoury’ in the Irish capital.

The Cupcake Bloke have released Tayto Cheese & Onion and Chocolate Chip cookies that they say are ‘proving really popular and have to be tasted to be believed’.

The market stall on Coppinger Row is open three times a week, and they have jumped on the bandwagon of people’s love of taytos with chocolate.

The crisp company had already released a chocolate bar with Tayto crisps embedded in the sweet treat, but it proved less than popular.

The Cupcake Bloke made headlines earlier this year when they released a special menu to celebrate 1000 days in business.

With a strong Twitter following they asked their customers to vote on mouth-watering cupcakes that would then be sold on their anniversary.

At the time, owner Graham Herterich said: “It’s a massive milestone for us and one which we wouldn’t have achieved without the support of our many friends and customers.”
