VGC Group IFC Semi-Final

Harlesden Harps 2-07
St Brendans 1-10

Harlesden Harps and St Brendans will have to do it all over again after a late comeback saw the sides finish level in horrible conditions at Greenford.

Harlesden took a fair advantage into the second-half but Brendans fought back superbly to draw level, but would need to come back in the final minutes again to seal the draw.

The Harps opened the scoring after two minutes through Ryan Moran, before Padraig McGoldrick added another.

It would take ten minutes for the Brendans to open their account through a pointed John Daly free, before Moran added another set piece of his own.

As the rain began to pelt down on an already windy Greenford the Harps almost got a goal but McGoldrick’s shot was saved, allowing John Rafferty to strike over the rebound.

Tadgh Downey added another to give his side a four-point advantage, and things would get worse for the Brendans as they conceded a goal next, with Downey and Robert Reid doing well to gain ground and set up Darren Murphy for a shot across goal which he did well to put in the far corner.

Daly did well to grab one back as he punched over from a short free before a short Dara Henry free to Ryan Jones resulted in a third point.
