Spread a little Irishness…

By staff reporter

A trio of dedicated Irish lads has caused an online sensation with their jigs performed in different locales around the world.

From Mexico to Vietnam, they have spread a bit of Irish culture abroad – and they filmed the entire high-kicking adventure for one hilarious super-cut.

Last year 26 year old mates Kevin Cobbe, Chris McGrath and Iain McNamara, n from Lucan, Co Dublin quit their jobs and travelled the world.

With the aim of promoting Ireland to young people as a location to study or emigrate, they set up the blog www.thewirld.org to document their travels.

They decided to do an Irish dance in each of the 23 countries they visited and film it, editing the footage on route and uploading the video to Youtube when they arrived home, with Bill Whelan’s 1994 Riverdance score as backing music.
