Corbett returns to Tipp

By David Hennessy
Tipperary have announced the return of their hurling star, Lar Corbett. Corbett shocked the GAA world when he retired at the age of 27, ahead of his team's league campaign.
Tipperary have competed in the last three All-Ireland finals and won the 2010 Championship, with much thanks to Corbett's goals.
Tipperary struggled without Corbett in the league and will be glad to have him back for the championship season.
"Tipp manager Declan Ryan and Tipperary County Board are pleased to announce the return of Lar Corbett to the Tipp SH panel.
"Over the last few months Lar has been heavily involved in developing his business activities and is now once again in a position to give the necessary commitment to being a member of the panel.
"Lar will recommence training with the panel immediately."

Kilkenny's Richie Hogan suffered a collapsed lung in Sunday's league victory over Galway.
The Cats forward clashed with Galway keeper Jamie Ryan near the end of the game, and had to be stretchered off.
Talking to RTÉ this morning, Kilkenny Co Board Secretary Ned Quinn confirmed that Hogan will be out of action for at least four weeks.
Hogan has been playing with The Cats since 2007, has won 4 All Irelands and has one All Star.
The Danesfort man has been one of Brian Cody's most impressive players in this league campaign.

By David Hennessy
Galway look to be without the services of James Skehill for the remainder of the Allianz Hurling League, after dislocating his shoulder in Sunday's defeat to Waterford.
Skehill is expected to be missing for at least a month, which is bad news as The Tribesmen's next game against Kilkenny is all important and, depending on the result, could take Galway into a league semi- final or relegation play- off.
Looking ahead to the game, Galway manager Anthony Cunningham said: "It is a huge challenge but that’s what we are here for, to go at them. We’ll prepare well for it during the week and look forward to next weekend."
"For young players in a team that is developing, you can’t beat experience, or big day matches like league semi-final or matches like Sunday. You can’t coach experience, it all comes with playing these matches and those are the positions we want to be in."

O'Connor pleased with new additions

By David Hennessy
Kerry football manager Jack O'Connor has spoken of how pleased he has been with his new additions to the panel.
"I'm delighted with the attitude the lads showed out there. We worked very hard and that was key going into the game. Since the Armagh game we have definitely upped the ante a bit and demanded that a lot of the lads in there responded pretty well.
"We have had five young lads who have settled really well into the panel and into the team in Peter Crowley, Brian Maguire, Patrick Curtin, Barry John Keane and James O'Donoghue, who unfortunately got injured that last week.
"That is a great bonus for us because it really strengthens our hand going into the summer."
