Audiences worldwide can tune in online for the festival action
From dancing on a barrel with a brush, to kissing a fish and that infamous onscreen proposal last year, The Rose of Tralee, one of Ireland’s most watched TV Shows is guaranteed each year to deliver TV gold – those unexpected entertaining moments that gets the world talking and sends twitter into a tail spin.
For fans in Ireland and worldwide who want to watch all of the action online, whether live or on-demand, RTÉ Player is the online destination for the Rose of Tralee festival.
Also this year, capturing all of the back stage action and live reactions to these TV gold moments, RTÉ Player will present ‘Live from the Red Room’ at the Rose of Tralee Festival 2014.
Presented by Aidan Power, the backstage show will bring audiences behind the scenes for all the festival glamour and gossip with interviews and music from the Roses and celebrity guests including Nathan Carter, Louis Walsh and his boy band Hometown.

Worldwide RTÉ Player will broadcast the International Rose of Tralee Selection live and on demand from the Festival Dome at 20:00 (Irish Standard Time) on Monday 18 and Tuesday 19 August, and during the break for the Nine O’ Clock News, online viewers can also watch ‘Live from the Red Room’ which will be shown at 21:00 (Irish Standard Time) both nights.
