Reynor to get CinemaCon Rising Star award

By Madeline O’Connor

Irish actor Jack Reynor, who was first noticed in Lenny Abrahamson’s film What Richard Did, will receive the Rising Star award at the CinemaCon Big Screen Achievement Awards in Las Vegas later this month.

Reynor’s Transformers: Age of Extinction co-star Nicola Peltz will also be honoured at the ceremony.

CinemaCon managing director, Mitch Newhauser, told Wenn: “With their upcoming appearance in Transformers: Age of Extinction, Nicola Peltz and Jack Reynor are sure to show Hollywood that they are forces to be reckoned with.

“CinemaCon could not be more thrilled to honour such great young talent with the CinemaCon Rising Star of 2014 Award.”

Last year the Rising Star award went to The Boy in the Striped Pajamas and Hugo star Asa Butterfield.
