Police are appealing for information with regards to a serious assault in which the victim was spat at and dragged along the road by a vehicle in Wembley.

The serious assault took place on East Lane on Monday at about 2pm, when the 46-year-old male victim chose not to overtake slow driving learner motorcyclists.

The suspect who was driving behind in a white Peugeot Kangoo sounded his horn and gestured that the victim was driving too slow. The victim got out of his vehicle to speak to the suspect and was spat in the face before an altercation occurred.

The suspect accelerated away dragging the victim along the road before he was released and flew across the road causing multiple injuries.

The suspect made off along Forty Lane. London Ambulance Service attended and the victim was taken to hospital. His injuries were not life threatening and he has since been discharged from hospital.

A 23-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of attempted murder. He has been bailed to return mid November.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101, alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or visit www.crimestoppers-uk.org
