Police appeal for cash-in-transit hammer robbery

cit
Police were yesterday called to reports of a cash-in-transit robbery outside a Barclays Bank on the South Ealing Road.

Two men wearing balaclavas, one wielding a hammer, were seen to jump out of a car, steal a box from a security guard and drive away. The security guard was not injured and no arrests have yet been made.

The vehicle was found abandoned in Clayponds Avenue, W5. Police believe the suspects may have got into another vehicle and enquiries continue.
