Police appeal after woman was raped in Harrow in broad daylight

Police are appealing for information after a woman was raped in Harrow on Wednesday afternoon.

A 30-year-old woman was walking through a footpath between Roxborough Park and Landsdowne Road at about 12:30pm, when she was approached by a man who threatened her with a bottle before assaulting her.

The suspect is described as black, aged between 27 and 32 years, around 5ft 9in and 5ft 10ins tall.

He was wearing a dark blue jacket and carrying a bag on his back.

Police need to speak to anyone who saw or spoke to a male in that location between 11am and 1pm on that date.

Detectives from the Sexual Offences Exploitation and Child Abuse Command are investigating.
