Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston beat Chris O’Dowd to a gong at Sunday night’s Tony Awards in New York, taking home the Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Play award.

Cranston won for All The Way, while O’Dowd had been nominated for his role in Of Mice and Men.

O'Dowd tweeted this pic yesterday saying: It's #Tonys day!!! I fear I'll be 'broken bad', but worry not, my 'good loser' face is coming along nicely.

Neil Patrick Harris of How I Met Your Mother fame went away with the Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical for his work in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, the show also taking Best Revival of a Musical.

Martin McDonagh’s The Cripple of Inishmaan lost out on the Best Revival of a Play award, which was won by A Raisin in the Sun.

Irish actress Sarah Greene, who stars in McDonagh’s play alongside Daniel Radcliffe, failed to win the Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Play award, which went instead to A Raisin in the Sun’s Sophie Okonedo.
