Warwickshire joint-manager Stan Murray-Hession – making his second appearance this year along with nine members of the Fullen Gaels panel that reach the All Ireland Club JHC final – members of the panel, was overjoyed by his team’s speaking display in the Croke Park sunshine.
“You also hope your team will deliver on a big day and last Saturday was such a big day for everyone involved in the team including a Cork hurling legend like Cathal Casey – my fellow mentor,” said Murry-Hession.
“It was a really great feeling there just before the final whistle knowing that we had achieved something really special on the biggest stage in the GAA and I’m delighted for all these lads involved who have make such a sacrifice in order to play at this level.
“Not one paper tipped us and that makes this victory all the sweeter but I knew if we started well we would be hard to hold. We built that early platform in the opening quarter and with defence always on top I always had belief in this wonderful bunch of guys.
