Munster will conclude its pre-season friendly match campaign, with their traditional tie with London Irish on Friday night.
The game will take place at the Waterford Regional Sports Centre to mark the first time that the Munster senior squad has played at this venue.
New head coach Anthony Foley told the Irish World that he wanted to bring the big names to the fans , rather than confine all big games to Thomond Park in Limerick or Musgrave Park in Cork.
He said: “We are looking forward to this tie even though it is just a six-day turn around [since Saturday’s defeat to Gloucester]. It will be great to get back out there and have another run around for the lads. It is the first time the senior squad has played in Waterford. The A team has played there three times, but we are looking forward to going down there. It is a great little stadium, and we are looking forward to the atmosphere down there. “
Munster’s season proper begins on September 5 with a Pro-12 league match against Edinburgh at Thomond.
