A new statue of Mrs Brown has been erected on Moore Street where the character famously held a fruit and veg stall to celebrate the DVD release of Mrs Brown’s Boys D’Movie.

The statue is complete with a special plaque engraved with the words Mrs Agnes Brown – The tart with a cart, to prompt its similarities with famous Dublin landmark; statue Molly Malone, also colloquially known by the same title.

The statue of the Dublin matriarch was unveiled by the Moore Street Market Traders Association and is situated just at the start of the market as Moore Street meets Henry Street. Scroll down for more photos.
