Police have confirmed that they are no longer searching for a missing Dubliner who went missing from Swansea last week.

Dr Matt Wall, from Templeogue, lectures at Swansea University and failed to return to his home address last Tuesday evening.

It was completely out of character for the 31-year-old which prompted South Wales Police to launch a missing person investigation.

Students also joined in the appeal for information on his whereabouts, but officers have confirmed he has been traced to an address in Cardiff.

A South Wales Police spokesman said: “South Wales Police can confirm that missing person Matthew Wall has been located in the Cardiff area.

“The media and public are thanked for their assistance.”
