London’s GAA Development Squad were victorious when they took on Warwickshire in a great Under 18 match at Ruislip on May 24 by the narrow score-line of 3-8 to 3-6. The match served as a curtain raiser for the London v Roscommon match.

It was Warwickshire who started stronger, racing up into a 2-4 to 0-1 lead after 20 minutes thanks to goals from Dan Harnett and a Louie Ward volley.

However, London battled back into it with a Ryan O’Connell goal meaning they trailed by 2-4 to 1-3 at the break.

London really took the initiative in the second period, establishing a 3-7 to 2-4 lead thanks to two second half strikes by substitute Conor Spinks.

Brody O’Grady punched the final goal for Warwickshire to make the score-line 3-8 to 3-6 in London’s favour at the end.

Thanks to Lloyd Colfer and Stephen Ormsby, respective CDAs, for their help with this report.
