ONE of the stars to show their support for children’s charity Coram by performing at the City Rocks concert at the Royal Albert Hall on April 1 is Wexford-born Maverick Sabre.
Handel performed to fundraise for this charity when it first began 275 years ago, and the philanthropic spirit continues today.
Lilly Allen, Brian May and Kerry Ellis, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and The Feeling, will also be performing in support of the charity.
Others have given their support through the City Rocks online auction, offering themselves up as prizes, including a ‘Tea with Bill Nighy’ and the chance to meet Suggs from Madness with backstage passes to a show.
Coram, the charity for whom this spectacular concert is being held, and which has been helping vulnerable children to have better chances in life since it was first established as the Foundling Hospital in 1739, has been selected by the Royal Albert Hall as its first ever Charity of the Year for this event.
Tickets, from £30 per person, are available from www.royalalberthall.com or by calling the Coram City Rocks box office on 020 7520 0324.
