Irish TV are to be announced as the official sponsors of the new Ruislip GAA stadium, with a special launch night on Monday June 15, London GAA media partner The Irish World can reveal. The new stadium will be known as Irish TV Grounds, Ruislip.

Irish TV have already supported London GAA by covering both the football and hurling county finals last year as well as London champions Tir Chonaill Gaels’ All-Ireland clash with Corofin and Irish TV were there at London v Roscommon on May 24.

London GAA and Irish TV have agreed on a deal for five years from the stadium’s reopening in a year’s time but Noel O’Sullivan told The Irish World he hopes it will be a longer partnership: “It could be (a partnership for years to come), hopefully.

Work is expected to begin on the Ruislip renovation in mid-July after London entertain Cavan there in their All-Ireland qualifier on June 20.

London GAA Chairman Noel O’Sullivan confirmed at the April ground breaking ceremony that the new £4m could have a corporate name.
