Jessica Simpson has learnt to “follow her gut” when designing garments for her fashion line.
The performer and designer has released her Spring/Summer collection, which features plenty of boho-style influences, including floral prints and fashionable fringe.
As her collection has grown, Jessica shares she has become more confident and learned to trust her instincts.
“I have learned the importance of staying true to my identity, following my gut and fighting for the things I believe in,” she told U.S. People magazine. “I am aware that I don’t know everything, so it is important that I look to the people around me who I trust to have fresh and innovative ideas.
Not only does she style and design everything for the collection, Jessica also models for the campaign.
In the latest look book, the mother-of-two and wife of Eric Johnson shows off her legs in an olive green romper which is accessorised with floral printed platform heels and a yellow leather purse.
Jessica adds that she has already snagged her favourite pieces for her own wardrobe.
“The JS Collection is timeless, just like the shell pink long fringe vest,” she revealed, adding, “It is a special piece I can hand down to my daughter one day.”
The collection also includes a denim platform sandal as well as three colour varieties of her new strappy espadrille wedged sandal in the launch.
“The Navalo woven platform was immediately one of my favourite styles from the new collection,” Jessica shares. “I even wore them home from the shoot because I didn’t want to take them off.”
What started as a shoe collection has turned into a $1billion empire that includes fragrances, accessories, kids and home.
On maintaining a successful brand, the 35-year-old admits that she relies on help from her mentors.
“I am very lucky to have had some great mentors in my life and to work alongside my mom, Tina, every day.”
