Lowry completed the 181-yard 16th hole, his eight-iron approach landing on the green and arcing perfectly towards the hole to gain the first hole-in-one of the day. It was the 16th ever hole-in-one at the 16th in Masters history.
Lowry will receive a crystal bowl to mark his achievement. He tweeted this about his experience of the tournament.
Wow! What an experience that was. Not the finish I wanted to the tournament but to do that on 16 is something I will never forget.

As if one hole-in-one wasn’t enough for the gallery at 16, US Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III nailed his tee-shot at the 16th only 20 minutes later.
