Hertfordshire GAA Boys & Girls Year 5/6 Primary Schools Tournament took place recently at St Bernadette’s Catholic Primary School, London Colney.

Ten teams took part with almost 160 boys and girls playing games in glorious sunshine.

There was an outstanding display by all participants who were a credit to their schools on the day. For most, this was their first outing in the sport.

The Irish World thanks Hertfordshire GAA CDA with Stephen Lavery for this help with this report and pictures.

The cup was won by St Bernadette’s (I) who had two teams taking part, London Colney while St Martin de Porres, Luton took the shield.

Teams who also took part were St Augustine’s (Waltham Cross), St Joseph’s (Luton), St John’s (Rickmansworth), St Margaret’s of Scotland (Luton), St Vincent de Paul (Stevenage) St Albans Primary (Cambridge) and Holy Rood (Watford).
