Harlesden Harps 3:11
By Gavin Mawn
Harlesden kicked off their IFC campaign with a convincing victory over Garryowen.
Harlesden who were knocked out at the semi-final stage last season had too much creativity and fire power up front in their attacking trio Liam Holly, Mathew Holohan and Darren Lynch.
Holly and Holohan were the main goal threats as they scored (1:3) and (2:2) respectively while the engine of Lynch scored (0:2) and created eight points in the match for his strike colleagues.
Garryowen were rarely in the match that was played at a very windy Greenford where conditions made it hard for both teams to string moves together.
Garryowen were heavily reliant on talisman Eanna Kennedy who contributed (1:2) but struggled for ideas when Harlesden seemed to put two men on him.
