Late goal denies Parnells in 100 minute stalemate

Kilkerrin-Clonberne (Galway)                 1-12

[After 2×20 minute periods of extra-time]

 

Parnells and Kilerrin-Clonberne must do it all again next weekend after 100 minutes failed to separate them at rain-sodden Glenamaddy last Sunday afternoon.

An epic struggle, in which Parnells led by three points after 94 minutes, was tied by an outstanding individual goal from Olivia Divilly with just three minutes remaining. But try as they might, two heroic and very tired teams were unable to produce a winning score before referee Des McEnery finally called time.
