Fulham Irish 1-09, Neasden Gaels 1-09
By Damian Dolan.
Peader Friel returned to haunt his former club Neasden Gaels, by landing an injury-time point to rescue a draw for Fulham Irish at Ruislip on Sunday.
The corner forward won a senior title with Neasden in 2010 but struck three minutes into injury-time to deny the Gaels victory, after Ciaran Singleton’s strike looked to have snatched victory for Neasden in an enthralling encounter.
Neasden took to the field minus Paul Geraghty and with Damien Dunleavy on the bench, while Fulham were forced into a late reshuffle when Colin Daly dislocated a finger.
Neasden had the better of the first half, with Fulham being led a merry dance by lively corner forwards Ryan O’Hare and Michael Ireland. Neasden led by two when Adrian Faherty’s free hit the post, and Fulham ended the half strongly to lead 0-7 to 0-6.
