Leeds residents are being given a free weekend of festival fun without the need to pack up the car or get muddy, as the O’Neill’s Live Music Festival takes place at O’Neill’s Leeds  on August 2-3.

Starting at 5pm on 2nd August the two day festival will give local residents more than 24 hours of free live music from local bands such as Nick Dixon (who appeared on the last series of The Voice), Ska Souls, In Echoes and Taste in Colour. O’Neill’s Leeds will also be kitting out the pub with tents, blow up guitars, blow up microphones and fake grass so that festival-goers have all the necessary ingredients.

In true festival style, there will also be face painting, buskers and raffles and during breaks between live music guests can also see highlights of previous festivals live on the large TV screens in the pub while they enjoy some classic festival drinks such as Jack Daniels, Magners or Coors Light from the comfort (and warmth) of the pub.

The O’Neill’s Leeds Live Music Festival is one of 49 taking place at O’Neill’s Irish pubs across the country during the summer festival period from June 29 – August 26. Over the nine weekends the Irish pub brand will provide music lovers with a total of 117 days of free live music covering everything from acoustic and folk through to rock and indie pop.

Elaine Mc Cullagh, manager at O’Neill’s Leeds, said: “O’Neill’s is renowned for top quality live music with great craic in abundance – so this Summer we’re going to go the extra mile and combine the two, bringing a free, quality music festival experience to the people of Leeds. It’s a rare opportunity to have live music acts playing throughout the day – and as always, they’ve been carefully selected to make sure that our guests will have the chance to sing along with their friends, and enjoy the very best of live music.”

She added: “We’ve been working with Cash for Kids for some time now and to date have raised a lot of money for what all of us feel is a very worthwhile cause. Our hope is that, through competitions and selling merchandise, the O’Neill’s Live Music Festival will give us the chance to raise even more money for Cash for Kids, as well as being great fun for all that join us.”

The full programme and line-up can be found at where you can also sign up for information about a range of food and drink offers available throughout the festival period and to receive exclusive offers by email.

If you can’t get along to your local festival at O’Neill’s Leeds, you are welcome at any one of the 48 other festivals taking place across the whole summer period.
