Proceeds of cinema night will go to mental health charity Mind
Pop-up cinema event organisers West End Film Club will host a charity screening of hit 1996 comedy THE BIRDCAGE at Century Club on Friday 22 August to celebrate the life of comic genius Robin Williams, with all proceeds from ticket sales to be donated to mental health charity, Mind.
A gay cabaret owner and his drag queen companion agree to put up a false straight front so that their son can introduce them to his fiancée’s right-wing moralistic parents. Starring Robin Williams, Nathan Lane, Gene Hackman and Dianne West.
For one night only, Century will transport its guests to The Birdcage, a colourful nightclub on South Beach, Miami! With cabaret tables, fabulous food, thirst quenching cocktails, and a decadent post-film party, what better way to celebrate the life of one of the greatest actors of our generation?!
Why not immerse yourself fully, and come dressed as a character from The Birdcage, or indeed any Robin Williams film?! The party will continue after the screening, with the Birdcage dance floor open until 1am! A ticket gives you VIP entry to Century for the whole evening, so why not arrive early and enjoy a few drinks in one of the bars before the film? There’s even a private rooftop bar, with amazing views across London!
