Female jogger attacked in Hampstead Heath for her headphones


Police are appealing for information after a lone female jogger was attacked while running in Hampstead Heath.

The 30-year-old victim was running towards Wildwood Road at 11:35 am on Monday July 21 when she was punched by the suspect, knocking her to the ground.

She was repeatedly punched in the back of the head, before the attacker ripped off her earrings and headphones.

The suspect then ran off in an unknown direction, leaving the victim with swelling, bruising and cuts to her scalp.

The suspect is described as a white male approximately 5ft 9ins in height.

Detective Constable Mike Clinch, Barnet CID said: “I need the public’s help to identify this violent man before he strikes again. It was an unprovoked attack on a lone female, so I urge anyone with information to contact me urgently.”
