Fermiga ‘loved’ working with Gleeson

Farmiga in Safe House

Actress Vera Farmiga has revealed that she loved working with her Safe House co-star Brendan Gleeson.
The actress plays a CIA operative Catherine Linklater in the film, which also stars Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington, but confessed it was Irish actor Brendan Gleeson, who plays colleague David Barlow, that she had the best time filming with.
Speaking to Stylist magazine she said: "I spend most of my screen time with Brendan Gleeson and Sam Shepherd. I had a wicked time fighting off Brendan's improvisation advances. He's the equivalent of a Dobermann when it comes to freeballing. It's always going up against an Irishman's antics."
Farmiga added that she decided to take on the role of Catherine as it was different to any of her previous acting roles. She said: "My character, Linklater is different to the ones I usually play. She's more defined by her actions than a complex back story, she's there to push the plot along. I relished it."
