Ed Sheeran donates guitar to London Irish Centre

Superstar singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has donated a very special prize to the London Irish Centre’s upcoming charity auction.

The auction, which will take place online and at the charity’s ‘Big Night Out’ event next Friday (March 6), will feature not only a signed guitar donated by Sheeran, but also the opportunity for the lucky winner to meet the Thinking Out Loud star and receive the guitar in person.

Director of Arts, Gary Dunne said: “Ed’s prize has really been the icing on the cake of what’s shaping up to be a very special event. We anticipate huge interest in this wonderful prize and are deeply grateful to Ed for supporting our work. I’m sure his Irish granny would be very proud!”

Sheeran is still celebrating after winning two Brit Awards on Wednesday night; Album of the Year for X and Best British Male.

Other prizes include artworks, signed CDs, horse-riding experiences, sports memorabilia and more.

The charity event, which will take place at the centre in Camden, will be MC’d by Irish comedian Jarlath Regan, famed for his ‘Irishman Abroad’ podcast).

Songwriter Damien Dempsey, who is donating £1.50 of every ticket from his St. Patrick’s Day gig at Shepherd’s Bush Empire to the charity’s work, will also attend.

You can still pick up one of the last few tables for this very special fundraiser event at londonirishcentre.org.
