Dunning blasts London critics after noble KKG comeback

Proud Kingdom Kerry Gaels manager Noel Dunning hit back at those questioning London clubs’ right to compete in the All-Ireland Club Championship.

“We put in a great performance and I think it might just shut a lot of the knockers up,” he said.

“People thought we were wasting our time coming out for the second half and hopefully that will be the end of the questioning of London clubs’ involvement at this stage. The county team did it earlier on in the year, and we’ve done it now.

“I don’t think it’s fair. We earned the right to be here by virtue of winning the London championships so why shouldn’t we be there?”

“The Kingdom Kerry Gaels aren’t the only club in London that are capable of producing performances like that. It’s just a bit of belief that maybe hasn’t been there for the past few years.
