Dodgy pair try to scam Kodaline rockers with fake concert tickets

NO FEE Kodaline 8438

Two opportunistic ticket touts got more than they bargained for when they attempted to sell bogus Kodaline concert tickets to two of the Dublin rockers themselves.

The pair of chancers obviously didn’t do their research as they did not spot front-man Steve Garrigan and bass player Mark Prendergast when flogging the fakes.

Any Kodaline fans would have jumped at the chance to see their favourite band play for the minimal €5 fee the men were charging, but then again any die-hard Kodaline followers would have realised that there was no concert to attend in the first place.

Prendergast tweeted his astonishment the day after bumping into the pair.

“2 Chancers on the street tried to charge me and @SteveKodaline €5 into a Kodaline gig yesterday that wasn’t even happening.. Seriously?”

It has since been retweeted 95 times by his followers, with many responding to how ‘hilarious’ and ‘priceless’ the incident was.
