Coronas sign to Island Records

Irish band The Coronas have signed to Island Records, meaning they are now label mates with the likes of U2 and Snow Patrol

The lads had put out material on their own independent record label 3ú Records but now they’re in with the big guns.

They have released three studio albums so far, Heroes or Ghosts (2007), Tony Was an Ex-Con (2009) and Closer to You (2011).

Frontman Danny O’Reilly, who incidentally plays for North London Shamrocks, is the son of folk legend Mary Black.
