North London Shamrocks have augmented their panel with the addition frontman Danny Reilly of Irish rock and indie band The Coronas.

Reilly, who has been training with the club for the past month before his transfer went through last week, has previously played senior football championship in Dublin with Templeogue.

A forward, Reilly also played Minor for Dublin in 2003, winning a Leinster title and going went on to reach an All Ireland final.

I never knew who he was when he walked up to me, but the boys recognised him fairly quick,” said North London Shamrocks manager Tom Kilcommons.

At the moment he’s living in Islington and he got in touch with me and he’s been down training. He’s a decent footballer and he’s in good shape. He’s settled in really well and he’s just one of the boys. There’s been no talk of music.
