Paul Coggins will ask his players to summon a performance at Ruislip on Sunday akin to the one which 12 months ago saw the Exiles dump Sligo out of the Connacht Senior Football Championship.
The London manager believes the experience of last year, when the Exiles went on to reach a first-ever Connacht final and the last 12 of the All Ireland, will stand to his side against the Tribesmen, while he’s also keen for his players to prove that last year’s run wasn’t just a one-off.
“All the really good teams can do it for a second year,” said Coggins. “Nobody can take away what we achieved last year, but we have to bring that forward to this year.
“These lads are hungry, determined and they’re well aware that there’s a challenge there to be met. We’ve done it before and if we prepare ourselves right and give it our best shot that’s all we can do, and we’ll see at the end of the day how the result pans out.
