Brendan’s a step closer to bridging 18-year gap

Summer invaded October as the Lancashire championship semi-finals were played on a glorious day in Manchester.

In the opener, Liverpool Wolfe Tones, still a club in its relative infancy were always likely to find this a bridge too far against a St Brendan’s side who have been setting the standard in Lancashire all season, and despite giving it every effort it was Brendan’s who strolled to victory without really ever hitting top gear.

With the Senior League safely tucked away the mission of the men in maroon now is to bridge the 18-year gap since their last Senior Championship title.
