Board grants exemptions to three London players

Cathal Og Greene ([pictured), Damien Dunleavy and Joe Feeney will be able to represent London in the National League, despite missing last weekend’s opening round of club championship action.

The London County Board, with the agreement of the clubs, had ruled last year that any player wishing to play for the county teams in 2014 would first have to play championship for their London club, although exceptions could be made under in ‘special cases’.

Manager Paul Coggins was in attendance at last week’s first county board meeting of 2014 to request that all three players be treated as such.
