Tyrone name team as Derry delay

Tyrone captain Brain Dooher will start the game on the bench and is likely to make impact on the game as a substitute just as he did for the game against Armagh.

However, Derry have delayed the naming of their team ahead of the fixture as they recently have suffered a flood of injures and suspensions to the squad resulting in the delay.

Of the missing, Enda Muldoon, who scored 1-3 the last time the sides met in the championship will be most sorely missed, as he has a broken foot.

James Kielt too will miss the game as he is suffering with a broken jaw, Patsy Bradley will too be forced to sit out as he is recovering from a knee problem and Paul Cartin will also miss out due to a groin problem.

However vice-captain Niall McCusker may well feature in the game after he has recovered from a groin operation.

To add to Derry manager Damien Cassidy’s worries team captain Fergal Doherty, James Conway and Brian Mullan are all suspended.
