Paddy Kenny suspended for nine months

The luckless Sheffield United player admitted accidentally taking the performance-enhancing substance ephedrine in a cough medicine.

The English FA has accepted that he wasn't trying to cheat, but says footballers should always check the contents of over-the-counter medicines.

Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell says the club is considering the possibility of an appeal.
