Congratulations to Tara Logan Buckley – that fine girl from Cork who won the title of Britain's Next Plus Model. - 03/03/09
Fair play to her – she’s a lovely looking girl and is not afraid to show off her curves. I am a full-bodied woman myself and I think Tara is a great example of the lovely ladies we have in Ireland.
The only thing I was sorry about was that Tara was unable to enter a competition for plus-size ladies in Ireland – I’m sure it would be a popular event and well-subscribed.
Well done too to The Irish World for giving this event publicity – too often the media shy away from the larger lady. It’s ridiculous really, considering most of the country is a size 14/16. I, for one, can never get a size 14 in the shops – not because the shops don’t stock the clothes – but because they’re the first to sell out.
Note to buyers – please stock up on extra size 14s and 16s and watch your profits soar!
