Hollywood's happiest couple in Dublin
Liam Neeson and Natasha Richardson launch world's tallest building. By Angela Sammon - 24/01/08
It’s good to have friends in high places. That’s what property developer Garrett Kelleher discovered when he needed a bit of positive PR to launch The Spire, his upcoming development on the shores of Lake Michigan.
The developer behind what will be the world’s tallest building called on friends and Hollywood actors Liam Neeson and his wife Natasha Richardson to bring a bit of glitz to the Dublin proceedings.
The gorgeous pair breezed into a specially constructed marquee in Fitzwilliam Square in Dublin yesterday to pose alongside a model of the 2,000-foot tall structure.
They happily chatted with developer Garrett Kelleher and architect Santiago Calatrava, prior about what will be the tallest residential building in the world and the tallest structure in North America or Europe.
It will house almost 1,200 "exclusive residences", over 150 storeys. Prices will range from €500,000 to €28m for the largest two-floor penthouse.
However, the couple will not be purchasing one of the apartments, confirmed Ms Richardson, as their base is in New York.
Prospective buyers can visit the Chicago Spire Exhibition in Fitzwilliam Square Gardens until January 27.
