Scot-Irish singer Susan Boyle of 'Britain's Got Talent' seems sure to become the biggest-selling album in Britain this year, according to music retailer HMV. By Shelley Marsden - 24/11/09

Boyle's album an early success

'I Dreamed A Dream', Boyle's debut album through Sony Music, went on sale yesterday in Britain and goes on sale in America today.

 

 

HMV spokesman Gennaro Castaldo said the 48-year-old was the way to first-day sales of nearly 150,000 copies in Britain alone.

 

 

Footage of the former housewife’s first performance has been seen more than 300 million times on the internet.
