Kasabian singer has swine flu

Accoording to The Sun, he picked up the virus somewhere between Japan and Australia. When the group arrived in Sydney on Monday, Meighan went for a check-up after displaying symptoms.

The entire band is now in isolation in a Sydney hotel room. Serge Pizzorno is quoted as saying "We're all sick as dogs, man. It's pretty terrible. It's a bit of a virus that we picked up in Japan. It's so tough.

"I am confined to my hotel room and I look out and see the Opera House and the harbour and so want to be out there in it all."

Kasabian’s Australian gigs have been cancelled, but they hope to be well enough to play in Malaysia at the weekend.
