Appeal to trace stolen street art worth £20,000

Police in Islington are appealing for help to trace stolen street art work painted by the artist Bambi. bambi 2

Between 6:30pm on Wednesday, October 8 and 9:30 am the next day, five commissioned paintings on 6 x 4 foot wooden panels were stolen from around the edge of an open work site at 168 Upper Street, N1.

The panels, painted black with white stenciled images of sharks and fluorescent pink flower shapes, were due to be auctioned for the charity ‘Art Against Knives’ when work at the site had been completed.

The paintings are estimated to be worth at least £20,000.
