The transformation of the Emerald Grounds into a state of the art modern facility moved a step closer at the weekend, as Ulster Council President Aogán O Fearghail – representing Croke Park – assured the London GAA community that the redevelopment of Ruislip is imminent.
Speaking at the London County Board Gala Development Fundraising at the Crown Moran Hotel, Cricklewood, on Saturday night, Mr O Fearghail was confident that Croke Park’s Central Council would soon give the green light for work to commence, hopefully as early as October.
The event was attended by the British Ambassador to Ireland Dominick Chilcott and the Irish Ambassador to Britain Bobby McDonagh.
