Some of Ireland’s top women fiction writers have come together with a collection of short stories that would make an ideal Christmas present with all royalties from book sales going towards Barnardo’s children’s charity.

The Irish World grabbed a few words with author Emma Heatherington who joins Claudia Carroll, Martina Devlin, Kate McCabe, Siobhan McKenna and many more in contributing to All I Want for Christmas.

“Christmas is a time of families so with Barnardo’s doing such a great job for families, as a mother it was something very close to my heart and one that I wouldn’t refuse.

“The book has a great mixture of stories so I think it will appeal to a wide audience. There’s stories that will make you laugh and some sad stories and some very poignant memories of Christmas. It has something that will touch everyone. If people are stuck for a present, a book will go a long way.”

Romantic comedy writer Emma has already got six novels available on Poolbeg Press and her seventh is not far away: “My next novel is called One Night Only and it will be out in March 2013.”

All I Want for Christmas is available from Poolbeg Press and also on Amazon.
